Setting up SMTP for Outlook


This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up Outlook for t3, PHCloud, Ph28, and t28.

Depending on if your emails are managed by an external IT support company, you may need your IT to carry out these steps.

Step 1: Log into the 365 Administrator Center

Click here to visit the Microsoft 365 Administrator Center.

Use the login credentials for the administrator account that you use to manage the other users with




When you are on the main homepage, select the drop down for "Users", and then select "Active Users"



Step 2: Enabling SMTP


Click the display name of the user who you want to enable SMTP for



On the window that pops up, select the "Mail" tab


Select "Manage email apps"



Tick the box that says "Authenticiated SMTP"


SMTP has now been successfully enabled for your account

The following steps may differ slightly depending on which product you are using

PHCloud


Enter the email settings section of PHCloud (Located under Settings -> Company Profile -> Email Settings)

Fill out the details accordingly:

Email From Address: [Your Outlook Email]
Email From Display Name: [Your Company Name]
SMTP Domain: office365.com
Use SSL?: True
SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com
SMTP Password: [Account Password]
SMTP Port: 587
SMTP Username: [Your Outlook Email]


t3

Enter the email settings for t3, located under Maintain -> Settings -> Email.

Fill out the details accordingly:

Server URL: smtp.office365.com
User Name: [Your Outlook Email]
Password: [Account Password]
Email Address: [Your Outlook Email]
Port: 587
Use SSL: True


ph28


Enter the email settings for ph28, located under Maintain -> Settings -> Email

Fill out the details accordingly:

Server URL: smtp.office365.com
User Name: [Your Outlook Email]
Password: [Account Password]
Email Address: [Your Outlook Email]
Port: 587
Use SSL: True

Enter the email settings for t28, located under Maintain -> Settings -> Email

Fill out the details accordingly:

Server URL: smtp.office365.com
User Name: [Your Outlook Email]
Password: [Account Password]
Email Address: [Your Outlook Email]
Port: 587
Use SSL: True
